  • The challenge: Outgrowing QuickBooks while building a national healthcare network
  • The challenge: Outgrowing QuickBooks while building a national healthcare network

Business challenges of managing multiple QuickBooks company files

As CaseMed Solutions expanded into a national collaborative healthcare organization, leadership recognized that traditional small business accounting software would not support the organization's long-term strategy.

The new InsurHealth Affinity Group was designed to bring together healthcare providers, case management firms, insurance organizations, municipalities, educational institutions, self-insured companies, charitable foundations, and legal professionals within a single ecosystem. That vision required accounting software capable of managing multiple businesses under a centralized holding company while supporting future growth.

Leadership also needed software that could support:

      • Multi-entity accounting
      • Holding company financial management
      • Subscription-based memberships
      • Revenue Recognition
      • Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM integration
      • Future expansion into additional businesses

"Our CaseMed business had been running on QuickBooks, but as we launched the InsurHealth Network, we needed a Microsoft-based financial platform that could support our holding company structure and grow with our expanding network of affiliated organizations."

    Dennis Steckler
    Chief Business Architect & COO
    InsurHealth Affinity Group

Rather than investing in software they would quickly outgrow, leadership wanted a scalable cloud platform capable of supporting their business for years to come.

  • The search for a Microsoft-based accounting platform
  • The search for a Microsoft-based accounting platform

The search for a Microsoft-based accounting platform

As a Microsoft-focused organization, InsurHealth wanted accounting software that would integrate naturally with the Microsoft technology stack.

The organization evaluated solutions that could:

      • Replace QuickBooks
      • Manage multiple companies
      • Support a holding company structure
      • Automate recurring membership billing
      • Recognize revenue appropriately
      • Integrate with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
      • Scale alongside the business

Because the organization was still in its startup phase, selecting the right technology platform from the beginning was considered a strategic investment rather than simply replacing accounting software.

"Since InsurHealth was a startup, we wanted a CRM that would help us manage member relationships while integrating seamlessly with our accounting system. Having both solutions work together on the Microsoft platform was an important advantage. In addition to membership, approved members have an opportunity to become equity holders in the Network."

Chief Business Architect & COO, InsurHealth Affinity Group
